This Remembrance day the Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area remembers and celebrates the contributions of members of Indigenous, Black and Racialized communities in the First and Second World Wars.
Downtown Yonge Remembers
On November 11th, 11 AM at Yonge- Dundas Square and College Park, we will pause for a Moment of Silence and playing of The Lament on bagpipes to remember the services and sacrifices made by Canada’s heroes throughout history. At that time, all the digital boards at Yonge and Dundas will display photographs of the members of the BIPOC community who made contributions World War I and II.

Path of Sacrifice
~Pause and remember the services and sacrifices made by Canada’s war heroes throughout history~
On November 5th, 2021 at College Park, the Downtown Yonge BIA will pay tribute to fallen soldiers and commemorate all the Canadians who enlisted in World War I and II by installing an art installation dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives.
Join us on November 11th for a Moment of Silence and playing of The Lament on bagpipes to remember the services and sacrifices made by our courageous heroes.
This installation will be public for the remainder of November.
