Community Safety & Wellbeing
Championing the evolution of a people-centred neighbourhood
A safe and welcoming environment is the foundation upon which a thriving local economy must be built. DYBIA believes our neighbourhood, above all else, must be safe and inclusive for all.
Toronto Police Service Trespass to Property Sticker Pilot
In order to better aid officers in enacting the Trespass to Property Act, the DYBIA has created stickers for businesses to display on their store windows with the goal of detracting unwanted behaviours, and to enable officers to better see which businesses have trespass letters in place.
This pilot is available to all businesses within the Downtown Yonge BIA boundaries.
Note that you will need Adobe Acrobat reader downloaded on your computer to view these files. If you are having trouble accessing the forms, please email the NCOs at YNCO@torontopolice.on.ca, who can assist you directly.

Reporting Crime
Wondering what you can do to help create a safer, more inclusive Downtown Yonge? Reporting all crimes that happen in the area is an easy first step! To make it simple for our members, we created this handy infographic that allows for a better understanding of what crimes are to be reported through the emergency line, which are non-emergency calls, and which can be reported through other means. We encourage all our members to report, report, report!
