Unspoken Poetry Formed in 2017, Interro Quartet has toured extensively in Ontario and Quebec. For the 2019 - 2020 season, the Quartet has performed around the Greater Toronto Area, presenting programs that include premieres of commissioned works funded by Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts. Featuring award-winning graduates of University of Toronto, the Interro Quartet includes violinists Steve Koh and Eric Kim-Fujita, violist Maxime Despax, and cellist Sebastian Ostertag. Performing music of Haydn, Grażyna Bacewicz, Hildegard von Bingen, Rebecca Clarke, and Fanny Mendelssohn, the Interro String Quartet will perform an eclectic program that features Haydn's Quartet in C, Op. 74 and music written by female composers. This "Compound Quartet" will celebrate women composers who stood ahead of their time and produced masterpieces that have unfairly remained obscure and hidden from the concert stage. Please join us as the Interro Quartet presents their take on a Haydn classic and explores the music of “Unspoken" composers whose music is akin to poetry.
