Acquired Taste is Canada's only choir for professionally-trained instrumentalists. Begun in 2017, it is a unique musical forum for musicians to set aside their everyday instruments and express their artistry through voice alone. Acquired Taste is led by music director Mitchell Pady and comprises musicians from all areas of Toronto’s diverse performing arts scene. Frequently featuring world premieres, the choir's concerts showcase the jewels of the choral repertoire from the 17th to the 21st centuries. This performance marks the first appearance of Acquired Taste on the Music Mondays series. The programme will include the hauntingly beautiful ‘Remember’ by Stephen Chatman and premieres of new works by acclaimed Toronto composers who are also members of the choir.
